I've decided to drop PHPBB as our forum software. I've upgraded the message board to Invision Power's IP.Board software. Why you ask? Because it's more reliable and updated by professionals getting paid to do it. This upgrade will help eliminate spam and bots coming to our site and completely killing our bandwidth - we used 3gb of bandwidth last month.. we didn't even post??!

Some cool features that may attract more people to our site is the fact that new members can now register using their facebook or twitter accounts! No more having to type all their information in anymore! 1 click registration!!

Also, if you're like me and like to view the forum on the go, Invision also has a built in mobile web page! So when you go to medicinehatautosports.com on your Android driven smart phone (... okay okay iPhone will do it too....... *sick*) the page will resize and look as it should on the smaller screen! So get posting on the go! MHAS will always be there for you! So keep us updated!!

IPB also has a built in Portal system, so no more errors on the front page! I think we can all appreciate that!

NERD ALERT! *you can skip this*

IPB has an add on called 'IP.Content' which will allow me to build us an actual website in the future that feeds off our message board content! That means the web site will be completely user driven! Meaning we can have things like project logs and gallery's built right into the web site not just on the forum here! I thought this might be worth posting.. but like I said, completely skip-able!

You'll notice that the whole look of the board has changed as well - have a look around! Click things, post stuff, change settings, have fun! Just be sure to let me know if anything doesn't work like it should! I think I've worked out any problems that have come up with the conversion but you never know!!

I've updated the website to the latest version and changed some settings at registration this should fix the spambots from coming to our site!!! NO MORE SPAM!

Looks like Scott has deleted most if not all the spam from the site so we should be ready for the season :mrgreen: !

Website hacked!!

Some fucker named "eXesoul" decided it would be fun to hack every website on our server over 900 websites!! I donno why I've told the datacentre whats up and they've uped our security so hopefully it doesnt happen again!

I google searched this "eXesoul" guy and have found him on a hacker message board. He had posted that he had hacked every website on our server :evil: I checked it and it was true! (That's why it had taken so long to get the site back up). He has posted that our entire server has been hacked and how exactly he did it as well.

Some of you may have noticed some problems with the site just recently. I am to blame for this! I was doing some upgrading to the site and made the wrong edits to some files and made the site seem completely broken.
