Sport Compact Class

Postby OverbooSSt » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:09 pm

Ok, I just got a call from Randy with MHDRA. He wants to fire up the class, he said we can run it on Sunday of this week, or start on July 5th. Whatever we want. He also said we can choose when we want to race, so if sunday doesnt work then tell me what day will. There has been big sport compact rep there recently and i see no reason why this cant happen.

Who is prepared to run this Sunday? Please let me know so i can tell him. Spread the word to everyone...

I spoke with Mike Williams , aka The President, last night at the track and he said that they would be happy to run the Sport Compact class this Sunday, July 5th, but it is up to the racers to show up. There needs to be a minimum of 8 cars to run the class so show up to support and race. If the class doesn't happen you can always go into the street class. Let's show up and show them that there are people that are serious about Sport Compact racing.

I was the only one to sign up for the Sport Compact Class on July 5th and ended up running in the Sportsman class. Had a fun time. Also was the #1 qualifier with a 0.001 reaction time and got a second round bye into the third round. Ended up losing in the third round tying for 4th place. Farthest I've ever made it in eliminations of any kind. The next Sunday there is racing they will probably try for another Sport Compact Class so hopefully more can make it out.
